South-west of Varrock are the South-west Varrock mines, often used for their iron and silver. Just south-east of these mines is the Champion's Guild. It sells some high-level armour to warriors and rangers and is also where the quest Dragon Slayer can be started. However, you must have acquired at least 32 quest points to enter.
South of Varrock lies a stone circle guarded by dark wizards. Players often come here to kill dark wizards, as they tend to drop runes.
South-east of Varrock lies yet another mine which is frequented by lower level miners as it contains large amounts of copper, tin and iron.
Members will find Monkey Boy in central Varrock, who will advertize the Dragon Scimitar after completing the Monkey Madness quest.
