Castle Wars
Castle Wars is located south of the Observatory. This is a mini game where players compete against each other in a 20 minute game of capture the flag. The winners receive tickets that can be redeemed for elegant armour, which varies in strength, and capes and hoods of the two teams in the game. The two teams are represented by two of the gods of RuneScape , Saradomin (Blue) and Zamorak (Red). Castle Wars is often used as a good training grounds for players who wish to try out new armour, spells or weapons on other players without risking them in the wilderness .
Carpentry
Very little information about the carpentry skill has been revealed, although it has been noted that it is currently planned to come out toward the end of this year. It has also been speculated that the 2 new kinds of logs recently added into the game (mahogany and teak), which have no current use other then woodcutting and firemaking experience, may have some use in the carpentry skill.
The introduction of player-smithable nails other than steel (previously needed in the Dragon Slayer Quest) also hints at an approaching release date. Player Owned Houses and Carpentry were planned since RuneScape Classic, but have never been released. This skill is expected to introduce highly-anticipated Player-Owned Houses (POHs), which will have a substantial effect on gameplay. Jagex has announced that this skill (and POH's) will be released by the end of 2005.
