Agility is used to access some remote areas and to take shortcuts, especially in the wilderness and on some more difficult quests. A higher agility level also contributes to a faster stamina regeneration rate which helps the player run further and faster - this is particularly convenient when escaping from a player killer or chasing someone in the wilderness or traveling to a distant town.
This is the only members skill which will have an effect on free worlds. Faster travelling is beneficial to many other skills that require a player to navigate between a bank and an experience-enhancing location. A reduction in travel time allows a player to spend more time in enhancing a skill.
When a player reaches a certain agility level, he or she will be able to complete certain obstacles with a 100% chance of success. A player with a low agility level will not be able to attempt most obstacles. Courses, formed by multiples of obstacles, provide excellent training for agility. Experience is obtained after the completion of each individual obstacle, and a bonus is added when successfully completing a course in a certain order. If a player falls while attempting to overcome an obstacle, damage may be dealt.
Rogue Trader
To do this mini-quest, one needs to have completed the following quests: The Feud, Rune Mysteries, and to get the clothing, Icthlarin's Little Helper. Ali Morrisane, a merchant from Al Kharid, has decided to expand his product line to clothing, blackjacks, and runes, and he enlists you to help him. He sends you to to three merchants to get these items.
The cloth merchant in Sophanem requests three animal hides or three bottles of dye to sell his products to Ali. Depending on which items you give the cloth merchant, Ali will either stock desert robes and fezzes (hides), or red and purple Menaphite robes (dyes). By going back to him and giving him the other set of items, you can change the clothing stock in Ali's store.
The blackjack merchant in Pollnivneach is reluctant to produce a new line of products, but you can convince him to provide Ali with either assault blackjacks or defensive blackjacks. By going back to him, you can get him to switch the type of blackjacks he provides Ali.
Aubury, the rune seller in Varrock, agrees to send runes to Ali without any tasks. However, when you return to Ali, he tells you he has a problem: he can't unlock the rune caskets. The boxes are locked with a form of Sudoku puzzle, except the symbols used are runes, not numbers. Small rune boxes use four types of runes in a four by four grid, and are very easy to solve. Once you solve a small box, you have the option to purchase the elemental runes within it. The runes you do not purchase go into an elemental rune shop that can be seen by anyone who has unlocked a small box. The large boxes are the classic nine by nine Sudoku puzzle, with nine varieties of runes.
Unlocking one of these gives you the option of buying the runes within it; these contain the secondary runes used along with elemental runes to perform spells, such as attacking runes, enchanting runes, etc. See Magic skill. The runes you do not buy go into a separate rune shop accessible to anyone who has opened a large box. Players using the Thieving skill have the option to pick the locks, however, the large box is considerably hard to pick. The reason for this is that the runes are very inexpensive, for example, the street price for law (teleportation) runes is 300-350 gold coins each, while the shop sells them at 252 gold coins each.
