Falador

Falador is home to the White Knights and has two banks, one in the west and the other in the east, a furnace, a hairdresser, and a garden. It is close to Port Sarim, the Barbarian Village, Draynor Village, Varrock, and the infamous Wilderness. The bar in Falador is the only available place in the free worlds to get several special ales.

Falador also has an entrance to the Dwarven Mine and is also home to the Mining Guild, where players with a mining level of 60 or more can enter and mine extensive amounts of coal and mithril, pick on the scorpions and check out the local dwarves. There are also anvils in the mines and a steam-powered train which goes to the recently released Dwarven Capital of Keldagrim.

The town itself is roughly a rectangular area surrounded around the outside by a wall. In the southwestern rear is the White Knight's castle which is surrounded by a moat, and takes up just less than half the town. The Black Knights' Fortress, The Knight's Sword and recruitment drive quests start in here. The castle area extends from the middle of the town to the west wall, and about two-thirds of the way to the north wall. In the remaining sections are the number of shops and stores and in the eastern portion the Mining Guild. In the castle, which can only be entered from the north, there are a number of floors and levels in addition to a central courtyard. The other major feature of Falador is a park that occupies the north middle section of town, and is north and to the east of the castle.

On the west side it is bounded by a Shield shop, and on the west by the Mining Guild. There are two main entrances to the town, one on the south middle through a gate, and the other through the north gate which is located almost directly north of the castle and in between the Shield shop and a General Store. One interesting feature about the town is that its possible to walk entirely around the castle moat.

Although not set out by the creators of the game, Falador's east bank, and park to the north, in World 2 has become home to the member's marketplace (due to being in the centre of the members map) and normally has such a high turnover of messages it is impossible watch them on the chat window below the game window.

Players who have completed the Recruitment Drive quest have a choice of respawning here when they die.

Unlike most video-games, MMORPG offers the possibility to not just interact with other players, but to create a whole background for yourself, be part of a online community, and have a reputation. Some games offer this posibility such as Tibia.

In games such as this, there are different jobs, vocations, professions, etc. MMORPGs are usually medieval based (even though some are futurist) and vocation dynamics usually are: Different kinds of mages or druids that use all sorts of magic, knights that use melee fighting, archers that use bows, and some games even have merchants. The name may change but the dynamic usually is the same in all MMORPGs. Usually, vocations complement each other in order to enhance the community.
