A character's power usually represents how much time is invested in playing, rather than skill. Casual players are interested in playing a few hours a week, but many hardcore gamers play more than 40 hours a week.
Some games require so much commitment that players have resorted to buying powerful virtual characters and items such as the MMORPG-specific in-game equipment rather than obtaining them through playing the game. World of Warcraft made an attempt to alleviate this problem by rewarding casual players with extra experience points relative to the amount of time they do not play the game ('resting').

It contains a bank, a spinning wheel, flax, an altar, and access to a grove of magic trees. It is inhabited by Elves which may be pickpocketed by highly skilled thieves. It can be accessed with a special elven teleportation crystal. Despite all these things, it is not often visited by players, although Jagex has promised new updates in this area in the future. The Elves in Lletya are led by Ariannwyn, and books of Elven history may be found in the bookshelves of his home.
